FAQ

Short answers to the questions creators and holders ask most.

For holders

Does a listed coin mean it is safe?

No. It means the coin's creator fees can only be spent on a public budget, and that every payment is visible. It says nothing about the team's work, the product, or the price. See Risks.

Can the creator take the money?

On a locked vault, only by paying a budget line, to that line's payee and within its cap, all in public. On an editable vault, yes, after a public time lock of at least 24 hours. The coin page shows the pending change the whole time, and flags the coin once it runs.

Can Fuelgauge take the money?

No. Fuelgauge's keeper is never a member of any vault. It can only pay automatic lines to their own payees, and move up to the weekly sunset cap to the coin's own sunset wallet. See Trust model.

What happens if Fuelgauge shuts down?

The split keeps paying the vault, and the vault keeps its rules. A locked vault stays locked; its SOL can still only leave through its lines.

Why 60 days?

It is long enough for a real project to have a slow month, and short enough that abandoned fees do not sit forever. Creators can choose between 14 and 365 days.

What does "Checks failing" mean?

Something on chain no longer matches the listing, for example a change ran on an editable vault. The checks list on the coin page says exactly what. The keeper stops paying the coin's lines until it passes again.

For creators

Do I keep the fees I earned before joining?

Yes. They are collected to your wallet when you set the split.

Can I change my budget later?

Only if you choose an editable vault. Its changes wait in public, and your coin shows "Checks failing" once one runs. On a locked vault the budget is final.

Can I pay myself?

Yes. A line can pay any wallet except the vault, the keeper, the burn and the sunset wallets. Holders will see it.

My coin already uses fee sharing. Can it join?

Only if its split already pays a Fuelgauge vault and the burn, which is how coins launched with a vault from day one join. pump.fun locks a split once it is set, so an existing split cannot be pointed somewhere new.

Which coins are supported?

SOL-paired pump.fun coins, before or after graduation. Not supported:

What does it cost?

Network rent to set up, and 5% of creator fees from then on. See Fees and costs.

About $GAUGE

Do I need $GAUGE to use Fuelgauge?

No.

Does holding $GAUGE pay anything?

No. The 5% buys $GAUGE and burns it. It is never paid out.
